Melbourne C.T.S. publications: The two latest publications ;... of the Australian C.T.S. are pamphlets by Very Rev. Albert Power, S.J., and by Very Rev. Prior Hogan, O.P. Father Power’s pamphlet embraces two lectures on “The Sanity of Catholicism,” while Father Hogan V deals with “The Pope or Chaos.” Three Historic Pageants, by Dudley Baxter, B.A. The Shakspere Press, Birmingham, gives a useful historical • account of three scenes of splendor, in Church and State. Germain Foch, S.J. Translated from the French by an Ursuline Nun. Burns, Oates, Washbourne. Price, 2/6 net. Father Foch, brother of the famous General who saved the Allies, has written a much needed handbook for those to whom the interior life seems a mysterious as well as a mystic .region into which only the elect may venture. His object is to make clear to every reader what the spiritual life really means, and to define the theological ideas essential, for. making enlightened faith the firm basis of Christian virtue.
