CONFERENCE OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION KAIKORAI. The fourth annual meeting of the above branch of the St. V incent tie Paul Society was held last week, Mrs. M A. Jackson, president.'of St. Joseph's Cathedral Conference, being amongst those dresent. The annual report supplied the following particulars:—The conference consists of 18 honorary and 12 active members;' 21 meetings were held, with an average attendance of 9: 102 garments were made tor, and 2 parcels of second-hand clothing sent to the St. Vincents Orphanage; 90 visits were paid to the sick, and three families were assisted. Besides groceries and meat, C pairs of new and 3 pairs of second-hand boots, 2 pairs of blankets, 1 ton of coal, wood, and a Quantity of clothing and sundries were distributed to deserving cases. Tho thanks of the conference is extended to the spiritual director (Rev. Father. Harlow) for his kihdlv interest and encouragement, also all honorary, members and friends who have generously contributed to the funds. Office-bearers were elected as follows: —President, Mrs. T. Hill; treasurer, Mrs. Winders; secretary, Miss Heffernan; wardrobe-keeper, Miss Garstang. •
