WEDDING BELLS
HOULT—McKENNA. The wedding was recently solemnised at St. Patrick’s Church, Patea, by Rev. Father Cahill (who also celebrated a Nuptial Mass), of Monte Augustine, younger son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Hoult, Belgrove, Nelson, and Gertrude, third daughter of Afr. and Mrs. E. McKenna, Patea. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in a white crepe-de-Chine frock, hand-embroidered, the side panels being trimmed with pearls; she also wore the customary veil and wreath of orange blossoms, and carried a shower bouquet—asters and maidenhair fern, with long white streamers. The bride was attended by her sister (Miss Nora McKenna) as bridesmaid, who wore a pink crepe-de-Chine frock and black picture hat. Her bouquet was of pale pink sweet peas and asparagus fern. Air. Joseph McKenna (brother of the bride) was best man. After the ceremony the guests adjourned to the residence ■of the bride’s parents, where the wedding breakfast was served and the usual toasts duly honored. The newlywedded couple left by the express for Auckland and Nelson, where the honeymoon was spent, the bride travelling in a nigre brown coat frock trimmed with braid, and hat to match.
