Wyndham

(From our own correspondent.) At St. Kevin’s Church, Wyndham, on October 10, a very pretty scene was witnessed by a large- congregation (writes a correspondent) the occasion being;, the receiving of their First Holy Communion by a number of little children. Mass was celebrated at nine o’clock by Rev. Father Farthing, and the altar was very-f prettily decorated by the teachers of the Sunday school, under the personal supervision of the superintendent, Mrs. F. Pritchard. The day was really beautiful, and after the ceremony the children were treated to light refreshments by their teachers and a very happy little gathering resulted. A photo of the children was taken by Mr. Allen Hunter. r I ho newly inaugurated chftir rendered ■ Vaughan’s Mass and appropriate hymns fairly well, in view of the fact that it was its first attempt at rendering church music. Each child received a memento of the happy occasion. During the afternoon the teachers selected a pretty spot for the Catholic picnic, which is to be held at Christmas time.
