A SERIOUS MISTAKE
The stingy young man approached his adored one. 'Did you receive many Christmas cards, Miss Brown?' he asked, by way of a beginning. ' Oh, yes ! And there was one—unsigned— I thought particularly dainty and artistic. I'm sure it came from you !' ' Indeed !' exclaimed the delighted gentleman. 'And what makes you imagine so?' 'Why,' replied the maiden, sweetly, because I. sent it to you last Christmas!'
