Blenheim
(From our own correspondent.) June 25. The school children - assembled at the presbytery on Wednesday last, the occasion being Rev. Father Holley's Feast Day. Several presents were made- to the worthy pastor, who thanked the Sisters and children for their kind remembrances. The pupils of the convent schools gave a very interesting and successful entertainment in the Blenheim Town Hall on Thursday and Friday evenings to a crowded audience. The programme consisted of the cantata, ' Red Riding Hood,' followed by items of vocal and instrumental music, dances, etc.* The following contributed to the programme: Pianoforte solo, Miss Fanny Langley; song, Master Noel Brittain; dance, Misses Cissie Priddle and Mollie Perrin; Three Green Bonnets, Misses M.. Northcroft, M. Hale, and A. Watson; club drill, senior pupils; vocal duet, Misses A. and M. Watson; dance, Miss Mollie Perrin ; song, Miss Marlett Watson ; pianoforte duet, Misses Edith Chambers and Constance Greenfield. The cantata was admirably staged, and the different characters well sustained. The proceeds are for the convent building fund.
