Wright, Stephenson, and "Go. report Us follows : For last Saturday's sale-t here was a good ' entry, draughts especially being 3w,eir. represented:: <■; laght. harness"! horses were not so numerous, although* amongst them were a few serviceable sorts. _ The attendance w_as_large, and _as_ a good proportion of those present were actual buyers we are pleased to report a good sale. The -main .-feature -off the entry was a waggon" team on account of ■ Mr. -Harra-" way, of Burnside. : The horses comprising this ; seam were big, powerful shatters, rather on the heavy side for farm, work; consequently carriers and contractors were the prin-~-cipal buyers. On account of other clients were sold"quite a number of good, useful farm animals at prices ranging up to £36. Aged horses were rather dull, arid 'these -wefe"£ most difficult to quit even at reduced values.- For spring- \ carters there was a good demand, and for a really good five.—, year-old mare we succeeded in obtaining £30. As is' usual

at this time of the year, light harness horses wore rather slow of sale except for really first-class animals, these selling at quite up to recent rates. We quote : Superior young draught geldings, at from £45 to £50; extra good do prize-winners, at from £50 to £55 ; superior young draught mares, at from £50 to £60 ; medium draught mares and geldings, at from £30 to £40; aged do, at from £15 to £20; well-matched pairs, at from £70 to £100; strong spring-van horses, at from £25 to £30; milkcart and butchers' order-cart horses; at from £18 to £35; light hacks, at from £8 to £13 ; extra good hacks and harness horses, at from £13 to £25; weedy and aged do., at fiom £5 to £7.
