(From our own correspondent.) , February 19. The annual Catholic picnic is to take place on February 2« at Ocean Beach. The place chosen is an ideal one for a holiday. O(n Sunday a meeting of parishioners was- held in St. Joseph's Schoolroom, Mr. J. Collins -in the chair to arrange for the reception of Very Rev. Dean Burke I on his return to Invercargill next month. It was decided that the reception committee meet the Dean at the station and present him with an address of- welcome on behalf of the' congregation. A committee was formed to arrange details.
