Bazaar at Gore

A bazaar in aid of the funds of the local Catholic church was opened in the Town Hall, Gore, on Wednesday evening of last week. v The very inclement weather interfered somewhat with the attendance, still excellent 'business was done. An excellent display of goods, both useful and ornamental was made. The Gore Brass Band (says the ' Knsign ') played an inspiriting march outside the Town H a ll prior to the formal opening; of Ihe proceedinp-s by the DeputyMayor (Councillor W. Baker), who briefly returned Ins thanTcs to the Rev. Father O'Donnell 'for calling upon him to officiate en the occasion. The amount of time that the ladies nvi-st ha\ c expended in getting together such a splend d collection of wares was evident, and the results did Ihem every credit. He wished the enterprise e^ery success and felt sure that from the quality of the goods available and the worthiness of the object in view the results would bo satisfactory in every way. Refreshment Room— Misses Haneffy (3), Carmody, Young, Cunningham, and O'Kane. Produce Stall — Mesdames Ferguson, Quirke, Duggan, ass'sted by Misses Wingham, McKenzie, Manson, S.
