(From our own correspondent.) July IG. Mrs. N. Mangos took a party of the leading vocalists of Timaru to .St. Andrews last week to give a conoert in aid of the local church funds. Mrs. Annie Blackmani passed peacefully away at her residence, West Town Belt, 'I imam, en Thursday last The deceased lady was a resident of the Pareora district for many jears, amd was noted for her charity and the interest she took in church work. She had reached her 57th year, and leaves a grown-up family to mourn their; loss. or/ Mr Patrick Mara, who has severed his connection with the Railway. Department, to enter the painting business with his brothers, .was entertained by the members of the Railway maintenance staff on Monday • evening. The girls' school did even better than in previous years, special mention being made of the tone, order, and discipline that pervaded the whole school.
