(From our own correspondent.) September 7. Tbe Onehulnga branch of the H.A.C.B. Society held a most successful meeting last Tuesday evening. The district officers and several members of the Auckland branctj attended. 'After the meeting a supper was provided at wftuch 'Rev. Father Mahoney spoke. Bro Crisp (president) was in the chair. The gathering was very successful. This branch is going ahead steadily, and w,u! soon rank amongst the foremost in the district. The district secretary read the, balance sheet for the half-year, snowing the credit balance to the funeral fund to be £5456 17s 5d ; general fund, £10? 6s 5d ; and guarantee fund, £174 18s 9d —ah. increase oh the previous balance in each fund of £1(1, £34, and £10 10s respectively. Of the £5456 17s 5d to the credit of the funeral fund. £5305 is lent on freehold security, and £151 17s 5d is in the bank; £270 was paid An, funeral allowance.
