G ° od Friday afternoon, "at the kind invitation of Brother Basil, Superior, I journeyed with him to Ponsonby and went over the new college of the Order now near ing completion. It is a magnificent pile, and in going from ioom to room — b\ery one of which is commodious, welllighted, and airy, and from the windows of which capital scenery of varied character may be seen— l felt that not only, our diocese, but the other dioceses of the u° £ ny will most assuredly benefit by this college. I shall not at present attempt a detailed description. Suffice it to say that in every particular the well-being and comfort of the students have been carefully thought out, planned, and executed. The date of the opening ceremony will soon be fixed.
