ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. At Addington the following were the -results of the sales :—: — Fat Cattle. — 215 yarded, mostly

useful sprts. There was rather better demand, and, considering the large entry prices were well upheld. From 17s to 23s were offered for 1001 b beef ; steers, £7 to £9 10s> ; heifers, £5 15s. to £8 ; cows, £5 to £8 2s 6d. Stores—Good sale for fresh-conditioned cattle ; three-year-old steers, £6 ; heifers, £4 5s to £5 2s 6d. Fat Sheep.— s3oo penned, mostly ewes. There was good demand for good wethers for freezing, which sold from 33s to 16s Id, 400 North Island making 15s to 16s Id. Ewes sold better at the opening, but fell away owing to the heavy supply. Best sorts made 12s 6d to 14e ; others, from 10s to 12s ; 238 North Island, 13s to 14s. Fat Lambs.— s3oo penned, including, many good lines, which sold, well but unfinished sorts were Three thousand' were taken for export from 12s to l4s 4d ; 300 to butchers from 10s 9d to 14s Xd ; a few to graziers from 10s ' 9d 5 and 200 were passed at 10s 8d to 12s. Store Sheep. — 3800 penned, mostly lambs. There was a slightly better demand for all sorts,, and good clearance was made. „ Wethers 1 , lls 8d to 13s 7d ; small mixed twotooths, 9s Id ; dry ewes, 10s to 13s 6d ; lambs,' 9s 9d to 10s v9d for good and and 5s 9d to 8s for inferior ; ewes and lambe (poor), 5s 6d all counted. Pigs. — 500 penned. There was an 1 improved demand for fats, and 6tores sold exceedingly well. For r stubbling baconers, 34s ta 49§ 6&; and extra, to 525, equal to 3£d and 3}d per lb respectively ; porkers, 22s to 30s, equal to 3fd to 4d per tt>. Big stores, 15s to 23s ; smaller, Us to 14s ; weaners, 6s 6d to 10s.
