Wright, Stephenson, an.l C->. report as follows : — There were very few horses forward for this week's sale, and, as ia invariably the case just before th« Christmas and New Year holidays, business iB exi:e- dingly dull. We had a consignment of six useful harness barges from North Qtagi>, and these changed hands at from Lit iO.i to Lls. We quote: Superior young draught geldings, L 45 to LSO ; good prize horses, I/>2 to L 56 ; medium draught mares and gelding*, L3O to LUB ; atjed do, L2O to L 27 ; upstanding carriage horses, L3O to L 35 ; well-mat heti carriage pairs, LBO to L9O ; strong epriu«-van h >r-e«, I 30 to L 36 ; milk-oaH and butchers' order-cart horses, LlB to L 27 ; tram horse-, Ll2 to Ll7 ; light hacks, L 9 to Lls ; extra good hacks, LlB to L 25;2 5; weedy and aged hacks and harness hor*e», L 3 to L 7
