Dunedin Horse Salesyards.

Messrs. Wright, Stephenson and Co. report as follows :—: — A very poor entry of horses came forward for this week's Bale, 20 more than covering the number. Of these half a dozen were aged draughts, another was a useful four-year-old gelding, sold at L4O, and two others were just rising tbree-year-old, too young for town work, and although. L 37 10s was> bid for the one, and L 36 10a for the other, we failed to effect sales, the vendor's reserve being LBO for the pair. We quote : Superior young draught geldings, L4O to LSO ; extra good, prize horses, L 52 to L6O ; medium draught mares and geldings, L2B to L3B ; aged do, LlB to L 25 ; upstanding carriage horses, L 25 to L3O ; well-matched carriage pairs, LW to L 80;8 0; strong spring-van horsee, L 25 to L3O j milk-cart and butchers' order-cart horses, Lift to L2l ; tram horses, Ll2 to LI 5; light hacks L 8 to Ll2 ; extra good hacks, LlB to L 25 ; weedy and aged hacks and harness horses, L 2 to L 5.
