Addington Stock Mabket. Fat Cattle — 220 head yarded, consisting mostly of pood Borte. There was a brisk sale, resulting in from 20s to 24s per 1001 b being firmly maintained. North Island bullocks brought from Lll to Ll4 ; local bullocks, Lll ; prime steers, LlO to Ll4 ; lighter do, L 6 2* 6d to L 9 ; best heifers, L 8 to L 9 15s ; others, L 5 10s to L 7 ; heavy cows, L 7 to L 8 13s ; others, L 5 to L(> 10s, Store Cattle — 150 head yarded. There was a keen demand, and an improvement in prices. Fat SHEEr — 2500 penned, mostly wethers, merinos being much in evidence. Except for exceptional lines there was a weak sale, and many withdrawals of station lines and freezers. Fine show lots of wethers ranged from 2."Js to 40s ; heavy wethers, up to 21s <Jd , freezers, 18s to 20s 0d ; lighter, 17s to 17i 9d ; heavy ewes, 15a to IKs, aod up to 18s fid for maidens ; others, 13s 6d to 14s 6d ; hoggets, 13s to 17s. Half a doztn lambs sold at from 14s to 18a. Store Shekp — 3000 penned, mostly wethers and hoggets, which sold well. Ewes in lamb were in short supply, and there was a poor demand for them. Wethers realised from 14s to 16a ; hoggets, 13s to 13d 7d ; ewes in lamb, 13s to 15s 2d ; do (merinos), 11s. Pigs — About 280 penned. There was a good demand for all kinds. There were very few good baconers, and most lines were unfinished. Baconers brought from 32s Gd to 53s 6d, or an average of SJ I per lb ; porkers, 20s to 31s Gd, or an average of 4d per lb ; stores, 10a to 18s 6d ; suckers and weaners, 6s to 9s.
