Dunedin Horse Saleyaeds.
Messrs. Wright, Stephenson, and Co. report aa follows :—: —
Light horspp were a fair show regarding numbers, but the quality, on the whole, was poor. Good horses of this class sold •well, and fetched up to L2l 15b. We sold several horses privately during the week, including a beautiful pair of upstanding carriage horses, got by tbe famous imported stallion Merrie Stanton, also a pair of very stylish roan cobs, got by the late Hon. W. J. M. Larnach's hackney stallion Blue Peter, both pairs at highly satisfactory prices. We can always find buyers for well-matched pairs, provided they are really first-class stylish horses. We quote : — Superior young draught geldings, L4O to L 45 ; extra good, prize horses, L 46 to LSO ; medium draught marea and geldings, L3O to L3B ; aged do, L2O to L 27 ; upstanding carriage horses, L 25 to L3O ; well-matched carriage pairs, LSO to L6O ; strong spring van horses, L 22 to L2B ; milk cart and butchers" order cart horses, Lls to L2O ; tram horses, L 8 to Ll2 ; light hacks, L 6 to L 10;1 0; extra good do, LI S to L 25 ; weedy and aged hacks and harness horses, L 2 to L 5.
