Dunedin Horse Saleyards.

Messrs. Wright, Stephenson and Co. report as follows .—. — There was a moderate number of horses forward for Saturday's sale, comprised chiefly of medium to inferior light. Only a few good draughts were offtred, and these met with a keen demand at full market rates. Any horses of the springcart order met a ready sale, there b.jing a great demand for this class of animal at the present time. There was a good demand for light harness horses and hacks of good quality, but inferior sorts met a dull market and were very stiff to sell. We would remind all horseowners and inteudiug purchasers that our eighth annual horse sale will be held oa the Bth and 9th of June. We have, alreidy received upwards of 80 entries. We heg to draw the attention of vendors to the order of the sale— viz : Draught horses will be sold on Thursday, the Bth, and light hordes on Friday, the 9th of June. We quote as follows : — Fir-t-class young draught' mares and<aeldings, 1-35 to L4s<; good do, L2S tp L 35 ; medium sorts, L2O to L 25 ; aged draughts, Ll2 to Ll6 : first-claps hacks and light harness horses, LlB to L 25 ; good do, LI 2 to Ll6 ; medium do, L6to L 9 ; aged and inferior, L2to L 5
