The issue department of the Bank of England reports that the stock of gold, coin, and bullion for the week is L2(5,95 ( J,000 and the reserve L 18,434,000, the percentage of reserve to liabilities being 3-(-40. There was in circulation L 27,803,000. The public deposits anounted to LI 1,997.000. other deposits to L35,90G,000, and Governimnt securities to L 34,088,000. Three month's bills are disoounte 1 at 3} per cent. Consols, 110? 2 . New Zealand 4 per cent, stock, 111 : 3£ d" 1 . 105 ; 3do 08J.
