Skobcloff, on the evening of the !)th, in a dense fog, captured the heights of Plevna, near Loftcha Road, and during the night the troops entrenched themselves. l The Turks made two desperate attempts to dislodge them. It is reported that troops are destined to cross the Balkans regardless of Plevna, and are marching towards Tirnova. ° It is reported that Knrs is well provisioned. Fourteen thousand Kurds threaten the Russians at Hassan Kale. The Prince of Montenegro has attacked Anihori with 20 battalions. Plevna is completely invested. The Daily JYnvx states the town to be amply provisioned. The Russian Government invite subscriptions for a five nor cent loan of £15,000,000.
