Rotorua. — William Victor Hawkins, escaping from defaulters’ camp, has been arrested by the Wellington police. (See Police Gazette, 1942, page 269.)
Napier. Edward Aherne, alias “ Mick ” Aherne, alias Edward Ahern, failing to notify change of address, has been arrested by the Taihape police. (See Police Gazette, 1941, page 933.)

Wanganui.- Manswell George Podjursky, convicted (see Police Gazette, 1944, page 644) : On 9th instant the Court of Appeal reduced the sentence of “ 2 years on each ” to “ 1 year.” All copies of the Police Gazette are to be amended accordingly. - ,
