AuckIand.— FREDERICK CHARLES WHITE’S medals stolen: It has been "ascertained that suspect, Reginald .Hubbard (See Police Gazette, 1942, page 948), left the Dominion as a member of the crew of the ship “ Day Star ” on the 31st October last.

Hamilton. — Between the 22nd and 27th ultimo, from the dwelling of WALTER JOEN-HE3EEH. Bain’s Avenue, Claudelands, a six valve or seven valve Colombus radio, Clipper model 65, serial No. 96422, polished dark oak case; a chromium-plated cigarette-box with dark wooden ends and bottom, 6 in. by 3 in. by 2-| in. ; an electric table lamp with chromium-plated oblong base, about 6 in. by 3 in., chromium-plated arch with yellow shade and bulb, 72 in. of flex attached.; and a navy-blue two-piece suit, fit man about 5 ft. 10 in. ; total value, £34. Identifiable.

Hamilton. On the 3rd or 4th ultimo, the shop of R. B. SEABROOK, LTj(L, was broken into and the following stolen : Nine G/00/lo India and Dunlop motor-car tires; seven 6/50/16 Goodyear and India motor-car tires ; a 5/00/20 Goodyear motor-car tire ; and an SSI6 Goodyear motor-car tire ; total value, £124 10s. Not identifiable.

Hamilton. —On the 14th or 15th instant, the warehouse of A. FRANKS, LTD., Alexandra Street, was broken into and the following motor-car tires stolen : Ten Champion Heavy Duty Firestone, 600 by 16 ; ten Champion Regular Firestone, 600 by 16 ; twenty-five Standard Heavy Duty Firestone, 600 by 16 ; and ten Champion Regular Firestone, 650 by 16 (mostly wrapped in green or brown paper) ; total value, £386. Hawera. — 6th or 7th instant, from the garage of CHARLES EDWARD COWAN, 22 Morrissey Street, a 1937 model light-blue Hillman Minx sedan motor-car, blue leather upholstery, pressed-steel wheels, carrier on rear, chassis No. M. 76027, engine No. M. 76429, registration No. 53,610 ; value, £2lO. Identifiable. Registration plates, No. D. 331, together with 1942-43 license No. D.L.R. 338 were also in the car. About the time the offence was committed another motor-car was found abandoned in an adjoining street with the registration-plates (No. 126,029) missing. This car which had been repainted was stolen from Auckland on the 24th October last and was seen in Katikati on the 6th ultimo bearing registration plates No. 137, 118 (which had been stolen from a motor-car in Auckland on the 24th October last), and 1942-43 license No. 37,812. This license number was issued to suspect at Auckland on the 7th October last for a Standard motor-car which was subsequently found abandoned in the Auckland district. He is also suspected of having stolen the following described property from two motor-cars at Hawera on the night of 6th instant: A gentlemen’s double-breasted black overcoat, fit man 5 ft. 5 in., vent in back, “ Dr. G. W. Moore ” in ink and “ Stanley Avner, Bond Street, London ” on label on inside pocket, value £l2, the property of GORDON WILLIAM MOORE.; a full-size woollen rug with bright red checks about in. by 4 in., value £5, the property of THELMA MARGARET ROEBUCK ; and on the night of Bth instant a driver’s' license, No. 161, value, 55., issued to JOSEPH DAVID COOMBES, Turuturu Road, on the 22nd June last by the Hawera County Council. .
