APPREHENSIONS, PERSONS FOUND, ETC.

Auckland. — Hema Timoti, absent from Army, has been arrested by the Kaeo police. (See Police Gazette, 1942, page 408.)

Auckland. — Eugene John Courtney, failing to report for military service, has been arrested by the Mount Eden police. (See Police Gazette, 1942, page 405.)

Auckland. Gerald Charles Cronin, failing to report for military service : Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1942, page 405.)

Auckland.— James William Scott, absent from Army, has been arrested by the military authorities. (See Police Gazette, 1942, page 447.)

Mount Eden. — Ernest Millss, alias Robert Stanley McCausland, absent from Army, has been arrested by the Newmarket police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, pages 629 and 895.)

Rotorua. — Robert Wiring!, breach of probation, has been arrested by the Rotorua police. (See Police Gazette, 1942, page 444.)

Napier.— C. Rolston, theft, has been arrested by the New Plymouth police. He is identical with John Crosbie Home. (See Police Gazette, 1942, page 388.)

Dannevirke. — R. H. Harvey, theft, has been interviewed by the Napier police, and he admitted the offence. He is identical with John Crosbie Home, referred to in Police Gazette, 1942, page 464. (See Police Gazette, 1942, page 426.)

> Wellington. —Viola Winifred Williams, alias Viola Ingram, breach of probation: Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1942, page 406.)

Wellington.— Laurence Albert Manning, absent from Air Force, has returned to his station: Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1942, page 447.)

Wellington.— Kitty Stewart, alias Catherine Wong, alias May Lotch, referred to in Police Gazette, 1940, page 752, and Photographs, 1920, page 63, was killed in a motoraccident at Wellington on the 24th April last.

Wellington. —Thomas David Thomas, alias Thomas Forde, alias Thomas Downes, referred to in Police Gazette, 1940, page 888, and Photographs. 1934, page 11, died at Auckland on the 11th April last.

Wellington. —Charles Henry Simpson, deserting ship, has been arrested by the / Taranaki Street (Wellington) police. (See Police Gazette, 1942, page 212.)

Wellington.— Leonard Gordon Andrews, absent from Army, is now in prison : Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1942, page 214.)

Westport. —Neil Boyle, failing to report for military service, has been arrested by the Auckland police. (See Police Gazette, 1942, pages 105 and 344.)

Christchurch. — Harold Leslie Dillon, breach of probation, has been arrested by the Timaru police. (See Police Gazette, 1942, page 388.)

Christchurch.— John Walter, failing to notify change of address, has been arrested by the Auckland police. (See Police Gazette, 1942, page 229.)

Lyttelton. John O. Rourke, deserting ship, has been arrested by the Miramar police. His correct name is John Joseph O’Rourke. (See Police Gazette, 1942, page 311.)
