EXTRACT FROM NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
Officers of the Police Force appointed. Police Department, Wellington, 26th September, 1941. His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint Inspector Reginald worth Joseph Ward to be a Superintendent in the New Zealand Police Force, the appointment to take effect on and from the Ist October, 1941, and Inspector Thomas Shanahan to be a Superintendent; Sub-Inspector Davis Lewis Calwell, and Sub-Inspector Leslie Roy Capp to be Inspectors; Senior Sergeant Henry John Joyce, and Senior Sergeant David James Moorhead Hewitt to be Sub-Inspectors in the New Zealand Police Force, the appointment in each case to take effect on and from 11th October, 1941.
