Kaitaia.David Henry, failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Ellerslie police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 819.)

Dargaville. — James Maxwell, inquired for, is dead and the rifle has been surrendered to the Kohukohu police. (See Police Gazette, 1933, page 291.)

Auckland. — Sydney James Arthur, alias Sydney Albert Arthur, referred to in Police Gazette, 1927, page 649, and Photographs, 1924, page 37, died at Christchurch on the 7th October last.

Auckland.—Arthur Ronning, deserting ship, has been arrested by the Queen Street Wharf (Auckland) police. He is identical with Arthur Salvesen, referred to in Police Gazette, 1939, page 554, and Photographs, page 73. (See Police Gazette, 1937, page 291.)

Auckland. — Thomas Hugh Stitt, failing to maintain Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 659.)

Auckland. — Leonard Marshall Green, failing to maintain Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 843.)

Auckland. — Charles Rattray, suspected of theft, has been interviewed by the Auckland police, and he admitted the offence. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 246.)

Auckland. Robert Leicester Wilmot, alias Robert Lester Wilmot, illegally on premises where liquor was seized, has been served with the summons by the Queen Street Wharf (Auckland) police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 805.)

Auckland. — Charles Henry James Ridgway, escaping from mental hospital, has been located. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 877.)

Auckland. — Carl Kortegast. failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Sydenham police. (Sec Police Gazette, 1940, page 947.)

Auckland. — Joseph Hilary Mason, default of maintenance, has been arrested by the Mount Cook police. (Sec Police Gazette, 1940, page 969.)

Auckland. — John Cowper, default of maintenance, has paid the arrears to the Mokau police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 969.)

Auckland. — R. W. Matapareae, absent from Army, has been arrested by the Castlecliff police. His correct name is Rangi Wharuru Mataeparae. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 971.)

Auckland. — Thomas Vincent Wheatley, alias Thomas Webster, default of fine and costs, has paid the amount to the Auckland police. (See Police Gazette, 1941, page 2.)

Rotorua. — Francis Leo Hall, default of maintenance, has been arrested by the Taihape police. He is identical with Francis Leo Hoare, referred to in Police Gazette, 1933, page 179. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 223.)

Mokau. — Quinn, inquired for, has been located and the money returned to him. (Sec Police Gazette, 1939, page 754.)

New Plymouth. — Douglas Hector Watts, breach of probation, has been located by the Trentham police, and no further action is to be taken. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 913.)

Napier.— Lionel Arthur Collins, failing to maintain Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1937, page 512.)

Palmerston North. — Leslie John Entwistle, referred to in Police Gazette, 1937, page 285, and Photographs, page 33, has been killed on active service in Egypt.

Petone. — George Maxwell Taylor, missing, has returned home. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 338.)

Eastbourne. Betti, missing, has been located by the Wellington police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 982.)

Wellington. — Richard Humphreys, absent from Army, has been arrested by the Auckland police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 895.)

Wellington. Joseph Patrick Walsh, deserting Navy, has been arrested by the Thames police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 915.)

Wellington. — Christopher James White, absent from Army, has returned to camp: Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 982.)

Wellington. — James Henry D’Arcy, absent from Army, has returned to camp: Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 982.)

Wellington. — Ernest Gilbert Hare, failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Blenheim police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 980.)

Wharf (Wellington). — A Jennings, deserting ship, has been arrested by the Mount Cook police. His correct name is Alfred Jennings. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 284.)

Greymouth. — Percy Henry Birchfield, alias Tup,” failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Wanganui police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 780.)

Christchurch. — William Watson Glass, alias William Watson, breach of probation : No further action is to be taken. (See Police Gazette, 1926, page 566.)

Fairlie.— Andrew Matthews, alias M. Andrews, missing, was found dead near Timaru on the Bth August last. (See Police Gazette, 1937, page 514.)

Palmerston South. — James Henry Hammond, default of fine and costs : The warrant has been executed by the Mount Eden police. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 497.)

Timaru. — Raymond Allan Moore, permit to procure firearm refused, died in the Seacliff Mental Hospital on the sth instant. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 122.) (P.22/520/2453.)
