Auckland. —Between the 23rd and 26th February last, from a house in the course of construction at Benson Boad, Remuera, the property of WALTER YOUNG McGREGOR, 56 Tautari Street, Orakei, a quantity of carpenter’s tools branded “ W. McGregor ” or with five notches on the edge of the steel tools ; total value, £ll 18s. 3d. Identifiable.

Lower Hutt. —4th February last, from clothing at the back of 72 Woburn Road, the property of DAVID GRUBB WHITMORE, a gentlemen’s silver Baume hunting watch, Roman numerals, white dial with “ G. Broadhead, Wanganui ” on it, floral circle engraved on front, shield on back ; a silver curb watch-chain ; and a black leather stamp-case, 3 in. long by 2 in. wide, with “ Irwin, Tailor, Wanganui,” in gold on it; value, £B. Petone.— 29th November last, from the residence of BRENDA RAINEY, Point Howard, a gentlemen’s gold Eros wristlet watch, No. 101, with leather strap ; and a gentlemen’s shield - shaped 9 ct. gold signet ring with “H.W.R.” stamped on inside; total value, £8 15s. Suspicion is attached to Keith William Rainey, age thirty-six, height 5 ft. 81 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, good build, fresh complexion, brown hair, grey eyes, anchor on right arm, wings on left arm, scar on left palm, peculiar speech.
