PROPERTY STOLEN.

Queen Street Wharf (Auckland). Between the 7th and 21st March last, from Shed 12, Central Wharf, the property of KODAK (NEW ZEALAND), LTD., 162 Queen Street, two cardboard cartons, containing forty-eight 6-20 Bullseye Brownie cameras, they are of black moulded material, have a tubular type of viewfinder, and take 620 Kodak film, “ N.L.” over “Auckland” in diamond on cartons: -total value, £26 Bs. Not identifiable.

Auckland. — the night of 16th January last, from a shed at the Farmers’ Trading Co. building in the course of construction, Hobson Street, the property of JOHN ROBERT MacCLURE, 20 Keppell Street, Arch Hill, and others, a large quantity of carpenters’ tools; value about £3 10s. Portion identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Matthew John Shadbolt, referred to in Police Gazette, 1935, page 717. He was employed with complainants and reported that his gum boots had been stolen along with their tools, but they were returned two days later. He was dismissed from his employment before he could be interviewed by the police.

Auckland. —4th ultimo, from a cubicle in the tepid baths, the property of SYDNEY CLYDE CLIFF, 65 Mayfield Avenue, St. Albans, Christchurch, a gentlemen’s gold oblong keyless wristlet-watch, gold dial and numerals, original winder has been broken off and replaced with a silver one, back of case pitted, fitted with wrist-band of gold links and foldover fastener; and a florin : total value, £7 12s. Identifiable except florin.

Auckland. —24th ultimo, from Wakefield Street, the property of ELIZABETH MARIAN ERNEST, 128 Gillies Avenue, a 1937 model dark-blue Hillman Minx four-door saloon motor-car, light-blue leather upholstery, engine No. M. 82932, chassis No. M. 82433, registration No. 19-943 ; value, £240. Auckland. —During the night of 23rd March last, the garage of ROY LEWIS ANTON MAX, 50 Trafalgar Street, was broken into and the following stolen: A gentlemen’s chromium-plated 15-jewel square Buren Rival wristletwatch, No. 710249, black Arabic numerals, hand across sword stamped in case with repair No. 30950 below it, chromium-plated wrist-strap attached; ss. in Australian money made up of a florin, two shilling pieces, and two sixpenny pieces; and a motor-car tube repair outfit, Dominion Royal make, containing a tube of solution and round patches, &c.: total value, £3 Is. 6d. Watch only identifiable. The cover of the repair outfit was subsequently recovered a short distance from the garage.

Auckland. 22nd ultimo, from a cabin on the ship “ Awatea,” the property of LILLIAN FRANCES CLOW, Princes Street, Northcote, a half-length dark-fawn Musquash fur coat of small size, shaped sleeves, Peter Pan collar, may have “ Empire Furriers, Auckland ” branded on it, darkbrown crepe de chine lining ; value, £4O. Identifiable.

' Auckland. Between the 24th and 27th February last, from a suit-case in a bedroom in the Central Hotel, the property of FLORENCE MABEL FORD, Aitutaki, Cook Islands, a gold moon-shaped brooch, set with about twelve pearls in raised claw setting, gold pin clasp with hook catch; a gold pin brooch with cluster of diamonds set in platinum and amethyst set in centre of cluster; a gold pin brooch, 3 in. long, with cluster of small pearls set in platinum and small diamonds in centre of cluster; a gold pin brooch, 3 in. long, with cluster of diamonds around which is a platinum edge and a large diamond in centre of cluster; and an amber necklace : total value, £52. Identifiable.

Hastings. 2oth March last, from a whare, the property of ERNEST MARTIN, Omahu Road, a brown pigskin wallet, containing a will, a Hastings Permanent Building and Investment Society fixed-deposit receipt, No. 853, for £3OO in complainant’s name, and £ll 10s. in money: total value, £ll 15s. Identifiable except money.

Waipukurau. —Between the 3rd and sth instant, from a room in the Pukeora Sanatorium, the property of JEANETTE FRANCES O’LEARY, maid, a ladies’ 9 ct. gold small oblong wristlet-watch, Arabic numerals, set in mother-of-pearl, “ J.0.L.” on back case, gold bracelet of small links attached; and £3 Is. 7d. cash: total value, £8 Is. 7d. Identifiable except money.

Eketahuna. or about the Ist ultimo, from a paddock at Alfredton, the property of ALEXANDER ARTHUR NAPIER, a two-tooth Southdown ram, had tin plate with “ 114/1937 ”onit in one ear, green raddle on chest; value, £2O. Identifiable.

Wellington. 9th ultimo, from a motor-car, the property of lAN LYELL TAYLOR, 13 Albion Street, Hawera, an Atwater Kent six-valve motor-car radio, serial No. 7809518, in fawn crackle-finished case about 11 in. by 8 in. by 8 in., valve numbers 6k7g, 6aßg, 6k7g, 6q7, 6f6g, 6xsg; value, £l4. Identifiable. The motor-car from which the radio was stolen was unlawfully removed from Jackson Street, Petone, to Northland, where it was found in a damaged condition.

Nelson. 26th March last, from Tahunanui Beach, the property of KATHLEEN O’BRIEN, Provincial Hotel, Bridge Street, a ladies’ gold round open-face wristlet-watch, No. 225278, repair No. 18491, Arabic numerals; value, £3 10s.
