PROPERTY STOLEN.

Auckland. 9th ultimo, from a cloak-room in the Northern Club, Princes Street, the property of PETER ARTHUR NEVILLE NATHAN, 2 Tahora Road, Remuera, a gentlemen’s double-breasted grey herringbone tweed overcoat, fully lined with grey silk, vent in back, six buttons on front, wide collar lapels, “ Kilgour and French, Dover Street, London over “ P. Nathan ” on tag on inside of inside breast pocket ; and a pair of gentlemen’s dark-brown hogskin gloves, pull-on pattern : total value, £l7 ss. Identifiable. About the same time from the same place the following, the property of Dr. HERBERT MYER GOLDSTEIN, was stolen: A black and grey check woollen scarf with red lines; and a darkgrey Woodrow felt hat with white silk lining, size 6f, “ H.G.” punched in inside band : total value, £1 15s. Identifiable.

Auckland. — May last, from the tent of GUSTAVUS VAUGHAN HOOPER, Rochdale Avenue, Glendowie, a gentlemen’s silver pocket watch, “ Vickory ” on dial/luminous hands and numerals; and a gentlemen’s gold watch-chain, round heavy small links, “ Canadian Gold on bar at one end : total value, £7. Identifiable.

Otahuhu. llth June last, the property of ALAN GALLOWAY, care of John Rothery, Buckland Road, a -22 calibre single-shot Savage rifle barrel, model 3, bolt action, may have No. 3283 on it; value, about £l. Identifiable. Complainant lost the barrel from his motor-cycle between Waiau Pa and Papakura.

Rahotu. — the 29th and 31st March last, from the dwelling of Mrs. D. A. Fox, Gosling Street, Okato, the property of ETHEL MAY HONEYFIELD, Lower Timaru Road, Tataraimaka, a black Morocco leather handbag about 9 in. by 4 in. by 5 in., two handle straps; a brown leather purse, 3 in. by 2 in., containing £1 12s. in money ; an engagement ring, set with three sapphires and two diamonds in straight setting; a New Plymouth Savings-bank book, No. 17252; and a radio license for year 1938-39 : total value, about £22 7s. Identifiable except money.

Hastings. During the night of 25th ultimo, from a motorcar in Karamu Road, the property of GEORGE FAIRCHILD, 7 Miro Street, Palmerston North, a light mahogany case, 15 in. by Jin. by 3 in., containing a nickel-plated cystoscope, Professor 0. Ringleb’s model, consisting of three pieces, a double catheterizing sheath, an examining sheath, and a telescope ; value, £3O. Identifiable.

Dunedin. the Bth ultimo, the office in the servicestation of HAYES AND LYDER, 203 Crawford Street, was broken into and the following stolen: £27 17s. in money; and a cheque, No. P.C. 281470, for £8 75., drawn on the Commercial Bank of Australia in favour of “ Order,” stamped “ W. C. Henry, Ltd.,” and signed “W. C. Hendry and Warren Boyd,” Cheque only identifiable. Bicycles.
