APPREHENSIONS, PERSONS FOUND, ETC.

Whangarei. — Ken Rowlands, suspected of theft: A juvenile, Howard Amos, has been interviewed by the Whangarei police, and admits stealing the camera and the hydraulic jack. The camera case has been recovered. (See Police Gazette, 1937, page 753.)

Auckland. Alex. Woods, alias George Cecil Horry, false pretences, has been arrested by the Queen Street Wharf (Auckland) police. (See Police Gazette, 1936, page 95, and 1938, page 215.)

Auckland. — Eric William Lindon, alias Eric James Reid, default of maintenance, has been arrested by the Lumsden police. He assumed the name Eric William Stott. (See Police Gazette, 1938, pages 55 and 215.)

Auckland.— Richard Thomas Carroll, default of balance of fine and costs has been arrested by the Greymouth police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 389.)

Auckland. — Harold William Hutchinson, breach of probation, has been arrested by the Queen Street Wharf (Auckland) police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 285.)

Opotiki. — Richard Vanstone, missing, has returned home, (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 287.)

Ngaruawahia.— R. Western, false pretences, has been arrested by the Auckland police, and admits the offence. He is identical with Hector Vernon Penwarden, referred to in Police Gazette, 1929, page 79. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 373.)

New Plymouth.— Henry Ludovic Martini, default of maintenance, has paid the arrears to the Kohimarama police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 323.)

New Plymouth.W. A. Pitts, false pretences : William Arthur Pitts, alias Robert William Malcolm, has been arrested for the offence by the Auckland police, and admits the offence. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 373.)

Taihape. — Ronald Eric Ferguson, default of maintenance, has paid the arrears to the Wharf (Wellington) police. (See Police Gazette, 1937, page 567.)

Eketahuna.Gerald McWhirter, alias George McDonald, alias John McWhirter, forgery and uttering, has been arrested by the Auckland police. (See Police Gazette, 1936, page 67.)

Johnsonville.Toa Tomati, escaping from mental hospital, has been arrested at Porirua. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 120.)

Wellington. — Frederick Alexander Corby, alias “ Bones,” failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Wairoa police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 324.)

Wellington. William Arthur Pitts, alias Robert William Malcolm, false pretences, has been arrested by the Auckland police, and admits the offence. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 374.)

Whare (Wellington). — Frederick Amos, ship-desertion, has been arrested by the Wellington police. He had assumed the name Frederick Peter De Courcy. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 374.)

Westport. — Gerald William McWhirter, alias George McDonald, alias John McWhirter, inquired for, has been arrested by the Auckland police. (See Police Gazette, 1935, page 260, and 1937, page 414.)

Greymouth. —William Roger Spiers, alias William Pearce, default of maintenance-, has been arrested by the Waiuta police. (See Police Gazette, 1936, page 761.)

Christchurch. — James Ballantyne McMillan, failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Taranaki Street (Wellington) police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 57.)

Christchurch. — John Jamieson, default of fine, has paid the fine and costs to the Greymouth police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 216.)

Timaru. — Gerald McWhirter, alias George McDonald, alias John McWhirter, failing to maintain, has been arrested, by the Auckland police. (See Police Gazette, 1934, page 164.)

Timaru.William O’Connor, failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Masterton police. (See Police Gazette, 1937, page 80.)

Dunedin. Leonard Robert Moulin, alias Clark, breach of probation, has been, arrested by the Westport police. He assumed the' name Stanley Turner. (See Police Gazette, 1937, page 754.) v

Dunedin. — Robert Graham, alias Goodchild, default of fine and costs, has paid the amount to the Bingsland police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 338.)

Dunedin. Anselm Hein, ship-desertion, has been arrested by the Darfield police. He states that his correct name is George Anselm Heyne. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 374.)

Invercargill. — Richard Creed, inquired for, has been interviewed by the Christchurch police. (See Police Gazette, 1937, page 414.)
