Enacting authority : His Excellency the Governor-General, in Council. Act pursuant to which the regulations were made : The Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921-22. Date on which the regulations were made : 11th day of May, 1937. Date of notification in Gazette: 13th day of May, 1937.
REGULATIONS. 1. These regulations may be cited as the Opossum Regulations, 1934, Amendment No. 2. 2. These regulations shall be read together with and form part of the Opossum Regulations, 1934* (hereinafter called “ the principal regulations ”). 3. Clause (8) of Regulation 5 of the principal regulations is hereby revoked, and the following substituted : “ (8) No person shall on or after the Ist day of June, 1937, present any skins to an officer authorized to receive royalty or deliver any skins to a licensed broker unless each such skin has been legibly marked before drying in indelible pencil, or by other similar effective means, with the number of the license or permit of the person who took or killed the opossum, followed in each case by the letter ‘ Z.’ ” * Principal regulations: Gazette, 25th May, 1934, Vol. 11, page 1553.
