Devonport.—Alexander Herbert Mark Webb, deserting Navy, has been arrested by the Dargaville police. He assumed the name Albert Henry Webber. (See Police Gazette, 1937, page 170.)
Auckland. —Frederick Maddison, missing, has been located by the Onehunga police. (See Police Gazette, 1937, page 348.)
Auckland. Hokoiterangi Rawiri, escaping from mental hospital, has been arrested by the Raglan police. (See Police Gazette, 1937, page 292.)
Tauranga.—Jack Rogers, theft, has been arrested by the Masterton police. He is identical with Howard de Grut, referred to in Police Gazette, 1937, page 347. (See Police Gazette, 1937, page 292.)
Te Awamutu. —Vernon Aley, inquired for, has been interviewed by the Freeman’s Bay police. He is identical with Vernon Lyal Aley, referred to in Police Gazette, 1937, page 228. (See Police Gazette, 1933, page 602.)
Te Awamutu— Norman Cottle, alias Norman Rupert Cottle, unlawfully converting motor-car, has been arrested by the Hamilton police. (See Police Gazette, 1937, page 315.)
Te Araroa. —Bert Perrett, convicted of mischief (see Police Gazette, 1937, page 335). The sentence should read, “ 2 years in Borstal Institution.”
Gisborne. —Raynal Alfred Macdonald, missing, has been arrested by the Wanganui police. (See Police Gazette, 1937, page 229.)
Gisborne.—William Craig, default of fine and costs, has paid the amount to the Hamilton police. (See Police Gazette, 1937, page 315.)
Gisborne. James Randall Ferguson, alias lan Mcßae, false pretences, has been arrested by the Tokomaru Bay police. (See Police Gazette, 1937, page 345.)
Palmerston North.—George Frederick William Goodall, inquired for, has been interviewed by the Whakatane police. (See Police Gazette, 1937, page 210.)
Palmerston North. Jack Rogers and —. Jackson, suspected of breaking, entering, and theft, &c. : Howard de Grut has been arrested for the offences. (See Police Gazette, 1937, page 317.)
Palmerston North.— Noel Russell Dale, suspected of breaking, entering, and theft, has been arrested by the Wanganui police, and returned to the mental hospital. Portion of the stolen property has been recovered. (See Police Gazette, 1937, page 317.)
Carterton. — Randall James Ferguson, false pretences, has been arrested by the Tokomaru Bay police. (See Police Gazette, 1937, page 329.)
Wellington.—Alfred James Stanley Colenso, convicted (see Police Gazette, 1935, page 652), was killed in a motor accident at Upper Hutt on 30th ultimo.
Wellington. — Harold Hardgrave, alias Haigh, alias King, theft, has been arrested by the Christchurch police. (See Police Gazette, 1937, page 316.)
Wellington.—John Francis O’Keefe, inquired for, has reported to a Probation Officer, and no further action is to betaken. (See Police Gazette, 1937, page 316.) (P. 37/464.)
Christchurch.— Davy, convicted of theft (see Police Gazette, 1934, page 119) : It has been ascertained by the Christchurch police that his correct name is William Davey. s7
Clinton.— Leonard Moulin, suspected of theft, has been interviewed by the Christchurch police, but no evidence resulted. (See Police Gazette, 1935, page 129.)
