Railway-pass Lost.
Wellington. —A police second-class railway-pass, No. 613, on issue to Senior Sergeant at Central Station is missing. Last record of issue was in July, 1932. Members of the Force are to be on the alert to recover the pass.
Sentence remitted. The sentence of seven years imposed upon Jack Harry Payne,, alias Harry Payne, at Supreme Court, Wellington, on 10th April, 1933, for robbery with violence, has been remitted by His Excellency the Governor-General. The sentence of two years P.D. imposed on Charles Joshua Priestly, referred to in Police Gazette, 1935, page 155, has been quashed by Court of Appeal, and the sentence of To come up if called on within 2 years ” substituted. All copies of the Police Gazette are to be amended accordingly.
