Mayes (name probably fictitious), age. about forty-five, height 5 ft. 6 in., labourer, medium build, fair complexion, fair hair turning grey, brown eyes with squint in right eye; stooped ; dressed in a grey suit and greenish-brown felt hat; slow gait. New Plymouth. —On or about, the 7th instant, on warrant for theft of £BB Is. 3d. (comprising £lO in money and balance in cheques), the property of John Ellis Winstanley, garage proprietor, Awakino, Jack White, age about thirty-seven, height 5 ft. 7 in., lorry-driver, native of New Zealand, strong build, fresh complexion, brown hair going bald on top, right thumb and forefinger and left hand injured; wearing a blue and white striped blazer, cream silk shirt, brown trousers with belt (does not wear braces), black patent shoes with brown facings, no hat, collar, or tie; fond of drink and women. Wellington. — instant, that he may be located and interviewed regarding the theft between the 10th and 19th January last of three tons of Muntz metal (recovered), value £77, the property of the Wellington Harbour Board, Albert George Mullins, alias George Mullins, alias G. J. Herbert, age thirtyfive, height 5 ft. 10|- in., labourer, miner, and freezing-works hand, strong build, fair complexion, curly ginger hair, prominent upper front teeth ; dressed in a blue suit and grey felt hat; round shoulders. The metal was stolen’ from the Harbour Board’s shed and sold to James Brodie, dealer, Dixon Street, by Mullins, who gave the name G. J. Herbert. He is identical with George Mullins, referred to in Police Gazette, 1927, page 243.

Taranaki Street (Wellington).— l4th February last, that a summons may be served upon him for hawking without a license, Andrew MacPherson, alias William MacCormick, alias William Morrison, referred to in Police Gazette, 1933, page 611, and Photographs. 1932/page 18.

He is usually dressed in a wine-coloured suit with doublebreasted coat and brown hat, and frequents billiard-rooms and places of amusement. Arrears to 17th' February, last, £l4 10s. 6d. Wanganui. John Henry Forbes, labourer, who, on the Bth June, 1921, registered a -303 calibre short magazine Lee Enfield rifle, No. 40405.

Oamaru. (l) Sydney Rolf, age fifty-two, height 5 ft. 61, in., rabbiter, native of England, medium build, fresh complexion, grey hair and eyes, may have wound-scar on right side of neck, fond of drink, who, on the 4th May, 1928, registered a -22 calibre Stevens Favourite rifle, No. 1935.
