Auckland. Between the 2nd and 4th instant, the premises of MACKY, LOGAN, AND CALDWELL, LTD., Broadway, Newmarket, were broken into and the following stolen: Eleven gentlemen’s navy-blue serge suits, sizes 4,5, and 6, No. 5116 in pencil underneath hip-pocket; five brownish-red thornproof suits, Nos. 36, 37, and 38, Nos. 1910, 1951, 1968, and 1932 in pencil underneath hip-pocket; two pairs of navyblue trousers, size 4, No. 5116 in pencil underneath hippocket ; three white dress shirts, size 3, Cambridge brand; and twelve white neglige shirts, size 2, branded “ Hart Bros.” on back of neck : total value, £75. Mostly identifiable.

Identifiable.

Auckland. — On the 18th March last, the dwelling of WILLIAM ROSS, 14 Whittaker Place, was broken into and the following stolen : A ladies’ 18 ct. gold ring, set with diamonds and rubies, band of ring broken ; and a gold-bar brooch, with small ruby set in centre : total value, £8 10s. Identifiable.

Opotiki. —2sth December last, the property of J OSEPHINE CLARK, Nukuhou, and another, £2 10s. in money. Not identifiable. Suspicion is attached to George Delves, age about twenty height 5 ft. 6 in., labourer, native of England, medium build, fresh complexion, frizzy dark hair, light-brown eyes, large scar on right side of neck, head inclined to one side ; wearing a brown sports coat, grey trousers. Napier. —l2th October last, the property of FREDERICK HOLMES ROBERTSON, 17 Jull Street, a pair of gentlemen’s tan shoes, Astoria ” brand, size 8 ; value, £2 9s. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Stuart FergUSSOn, age twenty-three, height 5 ft. 10 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, slight build, dark complexion and hair, blue eyes ; usually wears plus fours, sports coat, and tan shoes. The complainant and suspect occupied the same room, and the former went away leaving some of his property in the room. Wellington. —l9th ultimo, from the dwelling of ROBERT FREDERICK ATKINSON, 79 Boulcott Street, and others, a rolled-gold open-face Waltham watch, 17 jewels, two swal- fVo lows engraved on back of case ; a 9 ct. gold light curb watchchain ; a ladies’ gold wristlet-watch, with expanding wristlet attached; and £33 2s. 9d. in money : total value, £43 12s. 9d. Identifiable except money. Suspicion is attached to Man (name unknown), height 5 ft. 10 in.; believed to be wearing a light-coloured cap. The suspect stole the money and jewellery from bedrooms while the occupants were asleep.
