Memorandum.] s’ 1 7 The Police Offences (Boxing Contest) Regulations, 1931. With reference to the above-mentioned regulations which are published in Police Gazette, 1931, page 721, this Department is advised that, although no specific penalty is provided for a breach of the regulations, the -general penalty provided in section 68 of the Police Offences Act, 1927, for a breach of the provisions of the Act relating to boxing contests applies also to a breach of the regulations, as the Act includes regulations made thereunder (vide Brown v.
