APPREHENSIONS, PERSONS FOUND, ETC.

Whangarei.- William Brown, false pretences, has been arrested by the Kihikihi and Hamilton police. He is identical with Thomas Kelly. (See Police Gazette, 1931, pages 369 and 417.)

Auckland. Spencer William Birkett, failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Murchison and Granity police. His correct name is Spencer William Wallis. (See Police Gazette, 1929, page 612.)

- Auckland. — R. Smith, false pretences, has been arrested by the Kihikihi and Hamilton police. He is identical with Thomas Kelly.- (See Police Gazette, 1931, page 441.)

Auckland. — Leonard James Rough, default of maintenance, has been arrested by the Wellington police. (See Police Gazette, 1931, page 385.)

; Auckland. Alexander Rennie, breach of probation, has been arrested by the Frankton Junction police. (See Police Gazette, 1931, page 131.)

Auckland.— Arthur George Greenfield, suspected of theft, is serving a term of imprisonment at Brisbane (Australia) in the name G. H. Newsome, (See Police Gazette, 1930, page 109.)

i- Auckland. — Henry Thomas, suspected of theft, has been interviewed by the Auckland police, but no evidence resulted. . (See Police Gazette, 1931, page 230.)

Auckland. lan Forbes Williams, default of maintenance ; warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1931, page 417.)

Mercer. — Charles Robinson, false pretences, has been arrested by the Te Kuiti police. (See Police Gazette, 1930, page 338.)

Whakatane. Tirau Mohi, alias Davey, unlawfully killing native game, has been served with summonses by the Rotorua police. He assumed the name Davey Nera. (See Police Gazette, 1931, page 418.)

Te Awamutu. — Papa Henry Puaha, default of costs, has paid the amount to the Huntly police. (See Police Gazette, 1931, page 243.) < ''

Rotorua. Hori Armstrong, obtaining credit by fraud, has been arrested by the Tauranga police. He is identical with William Brewer, alias Bruce, alias Youngman. (See Police Gazette, 1931, page 386.)

Wairoa. John Christian Boisen, default of costs, has been arrested by the Gisborne police. (See Police Gazette, 1931, page 297.)

New Plymouth. Thomas Reid, false pretences, has been arrested by the Kihikihi and Hamilton police. He is identical with Thomas Kelly. (See Police Gazette, 1931, page 282.)

Hawera. — L. F. Wallace, false pretences, has been arrested by the Wellington and Palmerston North police. His correct name is Leslie Alfred John Walters. ((See Police Gazette, 1931, page 339.)

Wanganui. — D. Reid, false pretences, has been arrested by the Kihikihi and Hamilton police. He is identical with Thomas Kelly. (See Police Gazette, 1931, page 418.)

Wanganui. — James Frederick Wallace, default of fine and costs, has been arrested by the Thames police. He is identical with William James Carr, referred to in Police Gazette, 1931, page 437. (See Police Gazette, 1931, page 339.)

Wanganui. Alexander Rennie, breach of probation, has been arrested by the Frankton Junction police. : (See Police Gazette, 1930, page 90.)

Levin. William Davey, absconding from State institution, has been arrested by the Christchurch police. (See Police Gazette, 1931, page 29.)

Wellington. Phyllis Reney Symons, missing, has been found dead, and George Errol Coats (referred to in Police Gazette, 1926, page 231) charged with murdering her. Her correct name was Phillis Avis Symons. (See Police Gazette, 1931, page 417.)

Wellington.— Henry Rupert Barlow, default of maintenance, has been arrested by the Motueka police. (See Police Gazette, 1931, page 418.)

Wellington. James O’Neill, default of maintenance, has been arrested by the Port Awanui police. (See Police Gazette, 1931, page 328.)

Katkoura. Marlborough Boxing Association’s money, &c., stolen : Leonard Carpenter has been arrested for the offence by the Kaikoura and Christchurch police. The stolen property has not been recovered. (See Police Gazette, 1931., page 372.)

Christchurch. Rose Clayton, escaping from Girls’ Home, Burwood, has been located by the Masterton police. (See Police Gazette, 1931, page 231.)

Ashburton. — Thomas Francis Hill, alias Howard, false pretences, has been arrested by the Waikari police. (See Police Gazette, 1931, page 352.)

Oamaru. — Gilbert Nisbet, breach of probation, has been arrested by the Temuka police. (See Police Gazette, 1931, page 419.)

Dunedin. William Sullivan, alias Newton, alias Burke, suspected of theft, has been arrested on another charge by the Sumner and Christchurch police. (See Police Gazette,'’ 1931, pages 79, 80, and 339.) (C.R. 10/420.)
