Opotiki — the Ist instant, Ernest Emil Lind, alias Lynd, alias John Jacobsen, age fifty-two, height' 5 ft. 6| in., labourer, native of Russia, fresh complexion, brown hair and eyes, flat nose, scar on left eyebrow and on right forefinger and thumb, portion of left forefinger missing. He was last seen in a small boat fishing off Omaio, and fears are entertained for his safety. (See Police Gazette, 1928, page 375, and Photographs, 1913, page 53.)
