INQUIRIES, ETC., FROM OUTSIDE NEW ZEALAND.
Sydney (Australia). —On the 20th ultimo the dwelling of WILLIAM HIPSLEY, Wollstonecraft, was broken into and the following stolen : A ladies’ gold expanding wristlet watch, octagon shape ; a ladies’ gold ring with five diamonds in platinum setting ; a ladies’ gold ring set with five small pearls ; a gold brooch with platinum face set with three diamonds ; a gold and platinum pendant set with a pearl and a diamond; a gold cigarette-case and a gold pencil with “ W.H.8.” thereon; two cut-glass scent-bottles with amber bands round outside ; a leather suitcase with “ R.V.H.” in gold letters thereon ; and a travelling clock in navy-blue case with “ J.G.H.” thereon: total value, £l5O.
