SPECIAL NOTICES.

Wellington. —Special inquiries are to be made for Esther Tossman, who has been missing from her home, 26, Sydney Street, since the 30th March last. Description : Age sixteen, height 5 ft., schoolgirl, native of New Zealand, slight build, dark complexion, brown hair and eyes, long thin features, slightly hooked nose, small face and mouth, slightly prominent front teeth, mole on right cheek, dressed in a navy blue costume, black hat with black ribbon or white hat with red buttons; a good pianist, and may seek employment as a musician at picture-theatres, &c. She is in possession of a hamper and a hat-box containing wearing-apparel, and also about £25 in cash. A reward of £25 is offered by her parents to any person who can supply information which will lead to the discovery of her whereabouts. Every effort is to be made by the Police to locate the girl. New Plymouth. — On the 2nd instant a second-class police railway pass, No. 552, was lost by Constable J. Scannoll, Manaia, while returning from Hawera Winter Show'. Should the pass come under the notice of the police a communication is to be sent to the Commissioner of Police, Wellington. (P. 25/968.)

Wellington. The following motor-registration plates are reported lost: Motor-cycle plates, No. N.Z. 7-338, the property of F. R. Masters, 47 Majoribank Street, Wellington ; Motor-cycle plate No. N.Z. 6063, the property of Clarence Robert Murphy, 52 Linton Street, Palmerston North; and Motor-car plates, No. N.Z. 30-770, the property of E. Rawson, Wellington. Should the plates come under the notice of the police a communication is to be sent to the Commissioner of Police, Wellington. (P. 25/977.)
