Circular No. 6/23.] Scale of Pay. The following revised scale of pay has been authorized, and will take , effect as from the Ist October, 1923. Increments to all members of the Force will be calculated from the date of appointment to the respective ranks. Superintendents : To commence at £525 per annum and advance to £6OO by annual increments of £25. Inspectors : To commence at £470 per annum and advance to £SOO by annual increments of £ls. Sub-Inspectors : £440 per annum. Senior Sergeants and Senior Detectives: To commence at 20s. per ditm and advance to 21s. per diem by increments of 6d. per diem every two years. Sergeants and Detective-Sergeants : To commence at 18s. per diem and advance to 19s. per diem by increments of 6d. per diem every two years. Constables and Detectives : s. d. On enrolment and under three years’ service.. 14 0 Over three years’ and under six years’ service 14 6 Over six years’and under nine years’ service.. 15 0 Over nine years’ and under fourteen years service .. .. .. ..156 Over fourteen years’ and under twenty years’ service .. .. .. .. 16 0 Over twenty years’service.. .. ..16 6 Matrons : To commence at £l5O per annum and advance to £IBO by increments of £lO every three years. ~ Surgeons : In four centres £l5O per annum ; at other places £25 per annum. The scale of allowances to members of the Detective Branch shall be as follows : Chief Detectives, 3s. per diem ; Senior Detectives, 2s. 6d. per diem ; Detective-Sergeants, 3s. per diem ; Detectives on appointment, 2s. 6d. per diem, increasing to 4s. per diem by increments of 6d. per diem every three years ; Acting-Detectives, Is. per diem. Circular No. 7/23.] Key Security Tablets. - \/ : , With reference to Circular No. 3/23, of 30th April, 1923, the .Secretary, Stores Control Board, advises that it has been found impracticable to engrave the proposed key security tablets on the back, and the letters “ S.C.B. ” will therefore be engraved on the front of the tablet. Lost keys bearing such tablet which may be found and forwarded to the officer in charge of the district will be retained by the latter for one •week before sending them on to the Secretary, Stores Control Board, so as to give the loser of the keys or the local officer in charge of his Department an opportunity of obtaining the keys on satisfactory proof of ownership.
