Suspicion is attached to a Man (name unknown), age about thirty-two, height about 5 ft. 7 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, dark hair; dressed in a dark Oxford suit and grey-felt hat. The overcoat was recovered at Kissin’s pawnshop, where it was pawned by suspect, who gave complainant’s name.

Auckland. —On the Ist ultimo, the dwelling of GRACE CHALMERS at 93 Portland Road, Remuera, was broken into, and the following property stolen therefrom: A sovereign, a two-shilling-piece, a silver sovereign-case with “ M.B.C. 1913 ” on it, and a pair of brown-kid gloves ; total value, £1 14s. Sovereign-case only identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Sybil Carpenter, age sixteen, canvasser, height 5 ft. 3 in., slight build, fresh complexion, brown hair, blue eyes. She has been interviewed, but no evidence resulted.

Hamilton. — 13th instant, from the railway goods-shed, the property of the NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Railways Department), a parcel addressed to “Hallenstein Bros., Hamilton,” containing a pair of grey single blankets with four blue stripes at end of each and eight gentlemen’s pink-flannel singlets with short sleeves ; total value, £5 12s. 4d. Identification doubtful.
