Gisborne. -About 11.30 p.m. on the 2nd instant a stack of lucerne, value £25, the property of Oscar Raynum, hotelkeeper, Ranutahi, was wilfully destroyed by fire. Three Natives —viz., Ernest Reedy, Hone Taumanu, and Hirini Tipene - who were seen in the vicinity, and who are alleged to bear feelings of animosity towards Raynum, have been interviewed without any implicative evidence being obtained Any information regarding this offence is to be communicated to the Inspector of Police, Gisborne.
