Ohaeawai. On or about the 15th May last, from F. A. MARTIN’S run at Puketona, Bay of Islands, two roan steers, two brindle steers, a red-and-white steer, a black-and-white-spotted steer, and a black steer, all two years and a half, and earmarked with two triangle-shaped pieces out of top of right ear ; total value, £SO. Identifiable.

Devonfort.— On the 6th ultimo CHARLES BARNES’S dwelling at 93 Yauxhall Road was broken into, and 15s. stolen therefrom.

Hamilton.— Between the 16th ultimo and sth instant, from EDITH POMEROY’S dwelling in Hammond Street, a ladies’ gold ring, set with two rows of six diamonds each in claw setting; and a ladies’ gold ring, set with a pearl in centre surrounded by a cluster of diamonds : total value, £34. Gisborne. Between 23rd and 26th July last, from a desk at the Technical School, the property of IVY PAINE, student, 59 Stout Street, a ladies’ silver hunting- watch, “ C.A.0.” on outside case, with a silver curb watch-chain attached; total value, £5. Identifiable.

Gisborne. June last, from a paddock in Childers Road, the property of K. GILLEIT, settler, Waiweka, a dark-brown pony mare with white star on forehead, GG branded on shoulder and PP on rump ; and a brown nuggety gelding, about 15 hands, thick mane and tail, scar on one knee, and a white patch on one hind leg: total value, £25. Identifiable.

Hawera. — 27th July last, from AWE PEPE’S dwelling at 86 Albion Street, a gentlemen’s silver hunting Rotherhams watch, with Awe Pepe, 1915,” on inside of baok case; an 18 ct. - gold oval-and-fetter double watch - chain (similar to illustration No. 21 in Police Gazette, 1911, page 2), with a gold-mounted shark’s tooth pendant attached ; and a red round butter-dish, with white edges with gilded beads attached: total value, £ll 17s. 6d. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to David Dambro, age about thirty-five, height 5 ft. 4 in., labourer, slight build, black hair and complexion, brown eyes. He is believed to be an American negro. Kimbolton. —On or about the 26th ultimo EDITH WATERSON’S dwelling at Apiti was broken into, and the following articles stolen therefrom : A blue eiderdown quilt, a white apron and two blue aprons, a pair of ladies’ black boots (size 5), and 6 yards of white muslin; total value, £4 4s. Identifiable.

Dannevirke. —On or about the Ist instant, from a motor-car on the roadside at Matamau, the property of —-TURNBULL, agent, Palmerston North, three Good-year Diamond motor-tires, three wheel-rims with fasteners, a 12-volt battery, and a lamp-bulb; total value, £55 3s. 6d. Identifiable.

Porangahau. —Between the 6th and 9th ultimo, from off a horse in a paddock, the property of the NEW ZEALAND GOVERRNMENT (Police Department), a green-canvas horse-cover (faded), with grey lining, and a broad arrow stamped on straps and leather fittings; value, £2 10s. Identifiable.
