PROPERTY STOLEN.

Auckland.— Between the 16th and 20th Match last, from WILLIAM JAMES DILL’S dwelling at 4 Boston Road, a velvet-covered oblong trinket-box, with navy-blue-satin lining and guilt cherubims on lid ; a ladies’ silver watch, lilac circle on dial, English figures ; a 15 ct. gold ring, set with three large and two small diamonds; als ct. gold ring, set with a blue stone in centre in cluster setting (surrounding stones missing) ; a large heart-shaped silver locket, with a plain heavy silver chain attached; a gold heart-shaped small locket, with a gold short chain attached ; a silver walnut-shaped locket, with a silver tassel at end ; and a piece of black-jet chain, with several beads attached : total value, £3O. Identifiable.

Cambridge.— Between the 12th and 15th May last, from Mrs. G. Stead’s dwelling at Leamington, the property of ANNIE GAVANAGH, nurse, a ladies’ gold expanding wristlet Baume watch, No. 323870, with a safety clasp attached ; value, £ls. Identifiable.

Cambridge. — sth ultimo, from Arthur Peterson’s carriers’ wagon, the property of ALFRED ISRAEL, 6 Emily Place, Auckland, a brown seal-skin rug, about 6 ft. by 5 ft., with brown woven-pile lining, rolled in two 1 in. straps; value, £lO. Identifiable.

Palmerston North.— 6th July last, from The Square, the property of HARRY WILLIAM FOX HOLBROOK, 8 Rangitikei Street, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled 24 in. Raleigh bicycle, No. 304172, straight handles with black grips, backpedalling brake, rat-trap pedals, steel rims and mud-guards, Britannic tires, portion of lamp-bracket missing ; value, £5. Identifiable.

Palmerston North. —20th July last, from the Manawatu Club, the property of EDWARD GRANT SIM, 86 Rangitikei Street, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled free-wheel Senior bicycle, No. 272373, back-pedalling brake, rubber pedals, steel rims and mud-guards, Britannic tire on back wheel, lamp attached ; value, £l2 10s. Identifiable.

Palmerston North.— 24th July last, from outside the Clarendon Buildings, the property of ALFRED MA WHINEY, 11 Alfred Street, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled Governor bicycle, No. 36616, upturned curved handles, rat-trap pedals, steel rims and mud-guards, Michelin tire, small piece of rubber fastened to top bar ; value, £l2 10s. Identifiable.

Wellington. “Maori,” the property of MISS MATTHEWS, a ladies’ yellowish-tan-leather motor -coat with leather belt, black-and-white small-check lining, leather buttons, grease spots near corners of pockets ; two fancy handkerchiefs ; and two skeins of blue and two skeins of pink silk thread : total value, £lO. Identifiable.

Wellington.sth ultimo, from Thorndon Quay, the property of AGRICULTURAL AND PASTORAL SUPPLY COMPANY (LIMLTED), a gentlemen’s free-wheel bicycle, No. 7752, with Fears transfer on it, black-painted straight handles with black grips, steel rims and mud-guards, backpedalling brake, rat-trap pedals, new tire on back wheel; value, £7. Identifiable.

Wellington.- 21st ultimo, from 107 Abel Smith Street, a hair-brush, a b ack comb, and a grey-celluloid-backed mirror, total value £2 10s., identifiable, the property of RUTH BEATRICE BLAND, nurse: also a small bluechina bowl; a gold curb long neck-chain, with a gold-and-enamel locket attached ; an 18 ct. gold ring, set with a diamond in Egyptian setting; a gold chain bangle, with a gold padlock and safety chain attached; a pink paste bead necklet; a string of purple beads on a metal chain ; a ladies’ brown-cloth overcoat with opossum-fur collar ; and a bunch of keys ; total value, £3l 9s. ; identifiable; the property of ELIZABETH McDONALD, nurse.

Wellington. — 26th ultimo, from outside HALLENSTEIN BROS.’ shop at 278 Lambton Quay, a gentlemen’s darkheather double-breasted overcoat, with “ H. 8.” on hanger; a gentlemen’s dark-grey double-breasted tweed overcoat, with “ H. 8.” on hanger ; and a grey-brown tweed overcoat with Italian lining, large leather buttons, vent at back, straps on cuffs with leather buttons on them : total value, £3O. Wellington —Between the 14th and 16th ultimo, from a shooting-gallery in Manners Street, the property of ALFRED DYER, 2 Coombe Street, a repeater Winchester rifle, with Octagon barrel, only for 22 short cartridges ; value, £7. Identifiable.

Wellington. —3oth July last, from a bedroom at the Grand Hotel, the property of ALEXANDER COMMINGS FALCONER, Christchurch, a gentlemen’s greenish-fawn double-breasted half-lined heavy overcoat, size 4, “ Harleria ” brand on it, half-belt and pleats at back, patch pockets, long lapels ; value, £7. Identifiable.

Wellington. —3oth July last, from 66 Clyde Quay, the property of ELLEN MOLES, cook, a green-canvas suitcase, 36 in. by 24 in., containing an 18 ct. gold wedding-ring; a 15 ct. gold engagement-ring, set with two blue stones and three small white stones; a 9 ct. gold band ring, set with three red stones; a ladies’ gold wristlet watch; a 9ct. gold bangle with “ N.M. ” on it; a 9ct. gold neck-chain, with a cross with “ E.M.C.” on it attached ; a gold two-bar brooch ; a pale crepe de Chine blouse; two crochet slip-bodices; three dozen handkerchiefs with “N. Moles ” on corner of each ; a brown plaid skirt; a pair of tan shoes; and articles of underclothing : total value, £2O. Identifiable.

Wellington.— instant, from a bedroom at the New Commercial Hotel, the property of JOHN FRANCIS CARRIGAN, 20 Franklin Road, Auckland, a gentlemen’s rolled-gold hunting keyless Waltham watoh, with “J.F.C.” on front case; a 9ct. gold Bernstein double watch-chain, with a gold Maltese cross with “J.F.C.” on it attached; a commercial traveller’s badge with “ J. F. Garrigan” on it, and a leather sovereign-case attached'; a black-morocco-leather wallet, containing two £5 notes, two £1 notes, and sundry papers: total value, £29 15s. Identifiable except money.

Wellington. — 29th June last, from a bedroom at the New Commercial Hotel, the property of WILLIAM J. PRITCHARD, Christchurch, a 9 ct. gold ourb double watchchain ; an oxidized black cigarette-holder, set with imitation pearls; a black-handled clothes-brush ; a Gillette safety razor and blades; a shaving brush and soap ; three grey-and-white striped ties; a brown-and-black-striped tie; a black-and-white-striped shirt; a suit of pink woollen underclothing ; three pairs of cashmere socks; and four white handkerchieis: total value, about £l2. Watch-chain and cigarette-holder only identifiable.

Ross.—Between the 16th and 17th ultimo, from JOSEPH RADOMSKY’S dwelling at Ruatapu, a £2O note on the Bank of New Zealand, No. A over X and four figures; and 9s. 6d. in silver. Not identifiable.

Christchurch. — 16th June last, from Lichfield Street, the property of NELLIE KITTEN BURGH, 15 Hassells Road, a ladies’ black-enamelled free-wheel bicycle, No. 56603, front brake, steel rims and mud-guards, black-and-yellow dressguard ; value, £9. Identifiable.

Christchurch.— l6th July last, from outside the Queen’s Hotel, the property of REGINALD ARTHUR BROOKS, Trades Hall, Gloucester Street, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled free-wheel Bell bicycle, No. 4647, upturned handles with green grips with white tips, nickel rims, back-pedalling brake, “ R.A.8.” scratched under cross-bar; value, £ls. Christchurch. FOWLDS’S dwelling at 48 Rolleston Street, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled free-wheel Butler bicycle, No. 10995, front brake, steel mud-guards ; value, £ll 10s. Identifiable.

Ashburton. l4th ultimo, from East Street, the property of WILLIAM SPARROW, draper, a gentlemen’s new Massey-Harris bicycle, No. 67888; value, £l7 10s. Identifiable.

Timaru. —27th July last, from behind the Empire Hotel, the property of LEONARD ARTHUR FAIRBROTHER, 43 York Street, a gentlemen’s black - enamelled B.S.A. bicycle, steel pedals; value, £5. Identifiable.

Timaru. sth July last, from a waiting-room at the railway- the property of ALFRED B. McCAMBRIDGE, signalman, a ladies’ black-enamelled free-wheel bicycle, rubber pedals, back-pedalling brake, cord skirt-guard, front-rim brake and saddle-spring broken; value, £5. Identifiable.

Oamaru. —3lst ultimo, from MARGARET STEVEN’S bedroom at the Empire Hotel, a purse, containing ten £1 notes, £2 in silver, and a German coin ; total value, about £l2. Not identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Johnston (name probably fictitious), age about twenty-two, height 5 ft. 10 in., medium build, fair hair and complexion, cleanshaved, round face ; dressed in a grey suit, white scarf, military officer’s overcoat, and soft-felt hat. -

Dunedin— On or about the 12th July last, CHARLES BRENSSELL’S dwelling at Outram was broken into, and the following articles stolen therefrom : A silver watch in leather wristlet, illuminated dial, “ J. R. Brenssell, 84919, on inside of back case; a rolled-gold half-hunting Elgin watch, with blue roman numerals on outside of case; a pair of fieldglasses ; a Gillette safety razor in a tin case ; and about £3 : total value, about £l3 17s. 6d. Wristlet watch and fieldglasses only identifiable.

Dunedin. 6th ultimo, from the person of FREDERICK JOHN WOOD, stationer, 248 George Street, a leather handbag, with a plate on one side with “ F. J. Wood ” on it, containing £9, and about £4 in halfpenny, penny, and twopenny stamps, and two rent-books. Bag only identifiable. Complainant whilst walking in George Street was jostled and knocked down and his bag snatched from him.

Invercargill. — l4th June last, from the Town Hall, the property of ARCHIBALD BROWN MACDOUGALL, a gentlemen’s black - enamelled with gold lines free-wheel Royal Club Swift bicycle, with “ Adams Limited ” on frame, black grips, back-pedalling and front-rim brakes, rat-trap pedals, steel mud-guards, Dunlop tires ; value, £lO. Identifiable.
