Military Service Ballot.

Members of the Force who receive notice of having been called up for service by ballot under the Military Service Aot should immediately notify the officer in charge of the district of the fact. Those in out-stations will do so by telegram. The officer in charge of the district will then telegraph to this office the names of all members of the Force in his district who have been drawn in the ballot.

Inspectors of Clubs appointed, It is hereby notified that

James Johnston, Charles Robert Broberg, John McNamara, Bartholomew Sheehan, John James Cassells, Samuel Joseph Dew, John James Hogan, Lott Edward O’Halloran, Edwin Eales, David Dearlove Hutton, Thomas Bourke, William Hector Mackinnon, James Henry, Stephen Till, James Cahill, Richard Marsack, William Bernard Mcllveney, Albert Tivy Emerson, Arthur Sydney Bird, Thomas VBarrett, Charles William Kelly, Nathaniel Miller, Luke Mullany, Ward George Wohlmann, Edward Mac Kay, George Hastie, William Matkieson, and Edwin Murray, have been appointed under the Licensing Act, 1908, to be Inspectors of Clubs for the purpose of inspecting and reporting upon chartered clubs as defined by the said Licensing Act, 1908.

Cleric of Courts, &c., appointed.

Constable Edward Phillips has been appointed to be Clerk of the Magistrate’s and Warden’s Courts, Receiver of Gold Revenue, and Mining Registrar at Middlemarch.

Licensing Officer under the Arms Act, 1908, appointed. Senior Sergeant John McMamara has been appointed to be a Licensing Officer under the Arms Act, 1908.
