+ Rawene. —On the 16th ultimo A. S. ANDREWS AND SON’S store at Kohukohu was bioken into, and the following articles stolen therefrom: A lady’s gilded expanding watch wristlet; a lady’s gun-metal watch in brown-leather wristlet; four or five Waterbury watches ; tour or five 9 ct. gold wedding-rings: three pairs of gentlemen’s black glacekid boots, size 7; two gentlemen’s black felt hats; two gentlemen’s panama hats; a brown-tweed sac suit; a dark heavy-tweed overcoat; and £2 in silver and copper money : total value, £l7. Identification doubtful.

Whangarei. —Between the 31st October and the 7th November, 1915, the dwelling of WILLIAM PARATA at Tutukaka was broken into, and the following articles stolen therefrom: Two claw hammers, an 18 in. plane, an iron square, two hand-saws, six small brace-bits, two paintbrushes, and a bag of fungus: total value, £3 3s. Queen Street Wharf (Auckland). —Between the 11th and 26th November last, from a shed at Queen Street Wharf, the property of LIEUTENANT PORTER, H.M.S. “Psyche,” a double-barrelled breech-loading hammerless shot-gun ; value, £B. Identifiable.

Auckland. —On the 29th November last, from outside the Technical College, the property of LESLIE TALBOT, a gentleman’s Rudge-Whitworth bicycle, 8667 painted on mud-guards, black-enamelled with red lines, 21 in. frame, upturned handles with celluloid grips ; value, £ls. Identifiable.

Parnell. —l6th ultimo, from St. Stephen’s Avenue, the property of MORRIS AXFORD, a gentleman’s blackenamelied free-wheel bicycle, 8354 painted on top bar, Skeates and White on front, straight narrow handles with black grips (one missing), steel mud-guards, rat-trap pedals, back rim-brake ; value, £4. Identifiable.

Paeroa. —On or about the 27th September, 1915, from a paddock at Netherton, the property of THOMAS DUNLOP, a dark-chestnut mare, about seven years, white star on forehead, dark short mane and tail; value, £lO. Identifiable.

Huntly. —On or about the 19th ultimo the dwelling of LOUIS B. HARRIS was broken into, and the following articles stolen therefrom: A writing-desk, 20in. by 18in. ; a cash-book bound in grey doth; several butts of Bank of Australasia cheque-books; and £1 10s. in cash: total value, £3. Identifiable except cash.

Te Kuiti.—On the 23rd ultimo the dwelling of ALEXANDER PEARCE was broken into, and the following articles stolen therefrom: A gentleman’s dark-tweed sac suit, “ Fred Connell, tailor, Te Kuiti,” on tab ; and an Auckland Post-office Savings-bank book, |No. 278502, “Mary A. Pearce ” written inside : total value, £5 10s. Identifiable.

Mokau. —On or about the 13th ultimo, from a tent at Mohakatino, the property of HENRY LESLIE BOON, four Bank of New Zealand £5 notes, exact numbers are not known, but are four of the following: 671969, 932536, 671970, 67192, and 982091 ; and one Bank of Australia £5 note (number not known). Suspicion is attached to the following persons : Toney Erickson, age about thirtyseven, height about 5 ft. Bin., bushman, native of New Zea-

land, stout build, dark hair and complexion, square shoulders ; Frederick Williscroft, age about; sixty, height 6 ft., slim build, grey hair; Mrs. L. Jensen, age about forty, height about 5 ft. 8 in., stout build, dark hair, full face ; and Bert Gates, age about thirty-seven, height 5 ft. 8 in, stout build, dark hair, full face.

New Plymouth. —On or about the 9th November, 1915, from the dwelling of CHARLES WILLIAMS, a pair of black field-glasses about 4 in. long, “10 Lens Marine” on them, with black shoulder strap attached ; value, £4. Identifiable.

Hastings. —2sth November, 1915, from a paddock at Paki Paki, the property of H. PAGE, a yellow seven-year-old cow, branded H.C. on rump, one horn broken, white spots on legs ; value, £ll. Identifiable.

Hastings. —On the 18th ultimo the dwelling of JOHN FREDERICK ANDREWS was broken into, and the following articles stolen therefrom : £lB in notes, gold, and silver ; a half-crown dated 1818; a brown-leather oblong purse, with four compartments ; a small brown-leather oval purse ; and a threepenny-piece holder containing eighty threepennypieces; total value, £l9 6s. Identifiable except money.

Bull’s.— 24th ultimo, from a motor-garage, the property of JAMES STEVENS, a gentleman’s Bradbury motorbicycle, registered No. M.C. 63, light-green and black tank, seat broken; value, £25. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to Bert Chapman, age forty, height 5 ft. 3 in., motor mechanic, native of New Zealand, slim build, dark hair and complexion, brown eyes, slovenly gait, shabby appearance ; fond of drink.

Greytown North. —Between the 2nd and 29th ultimo, from a shed the property of ALFRED DOUGLAS, a black composition portmanteau, 20 in. by 30in., torn near lock, containing a gentleman’s brown suit with broad stripes ; a light-green fur felt hat; a grey cap ; several low collars ; an English lever watch, “ A.D.” on shield ; a gilt keyless watch (glass and one hand broken) ; and a khaki military overcoat: total value, £B. Wellington. —On the 21st ultimo the dwelling of JOHN COOK in Glasgow Street was broken into, and the following articles stolen therefrom : An old Cairngorm brooch with a double pin; a gold single-bar cameo brooch, with two animals’ heads and a human head on it; and 2s. 6d. in money : total value, £7 2s. 6d. Identifiable except money.

Wellington. —2lst ultimo, from the dwelling of ALEXANDER STEWART MITCHELL in Grove Road, a gold two-bar brooch set with three different-coloured pearls to represent a shamrock, with a small diamond in the oentre and another at the stem, one bar slightly longer than the other; a fine gold orescent necklet, set with amethysts and pearls ; a pair of drop-earrings, each set with two amethysts ; a gold oval locket, about in. long, chased back, set with a small diamond in centre; a gold oval locket, about long, set with two pearls and an emerald, -chased baok; a gold-mounted cameo brooch, about 1£ in. long, representation of Byron’s head on it; a gold dagger brooch set with sapphires and pearls; and a pair of gold shield sleeve-links : total value, £73 10s. Wellington. —On the 23rd ultimo the dwelling of JOHN PEARCE LUKE was broken into, and the following articles stolen therefrom : A lady’s gold hunting keyless watch ; a long gold granny chain ; a short gold neck-chain, with a gold tramway pass attached, “ Mayoress ” engraved on baok ; a lady’s gold dress-ring set with five opals ; a lady’s gold single-stone opal ring ; a lady’s gold pendant set with a ruby and emerald in centre ; and a gold Bernstein chain bangle, with a gold jug pendant attached: total value, £23 10s, Identifiable.

Wellington.— On the 17th ultimo the dwelling of Margaret Walker in Majoribanks Street was broken into, and the following articles stolen therefrom : A green-leather folding pocket-wallet, L.W. in gold letters on one corner; a receipt from Dr. Gibbs to F. Pamplin ; and £l4 in cash ; total value, £l4 4s. 6d.; identifiable except cash ; the property of FRANK PAMPLIN.
