Whangarei.— l6th instant, from the Temperance Hotel, the propercy of HERBERT JOHN JAMES, a cashbox, containing £43 in single notes, three half-sovereigns, £l2 in silver, and £44 7s. 6d. in cheques. The cash-box, cheques, £8 7s. 6d. in silver, and a half-sovereign have been recovered.

Auckland. —On or about the 23rd ultimo, from the Marathon Boardinghouse in Symonds Street, the property of WALTER BAILEY, a gentleman’s green-tweed overcoat with cuffs, “Lowes, Ltd., Sydney,” probably on tab; and a gentleman’s silver Waltham lever watch,” “Ah Shuck” inside case; value, £5. Identifiable.

Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to a Man (name unknown), age thirty to thirtyfive, height 5 ft. 8 in., slight build ; wearing a fawn raincoat, yellow leggings, and black soft-felt hat.

Auckland,— On or about the sth instant, from the dwelling of THOMAS MOORCRAFT, baker, New North Road, a oheque for £3, drawn by Reginald E. Cookson on the National Bank of New Zealand, dated 12th December, 1914, and about £ls in notes and gold. Oheque identifiable.

Suspicion is attached to Robert Brennan, age about thirty, height 5 ft. 11 in., fireman and labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, fresh complexion, fair hair, grey eyes, thin features; wearing a grey suit and cap and a black shirt.

New Plymouth. —On or about the 30th ultimo, from the Royal Hotel, the property of WILLIAM GEORGE EMENY, two silver tea-sets, first consisting of a cream-jug, teapot, and basin, Queen Anne pattern, with black-ebony handles, knob on lid fastened inside with a leather washer ; second consisting of a oream-jug, teapot, and basin : total value, £lO 10s. Suspicion is attached to Muriel Dyke or Mack, age about thirty-three, height 5 ft. 4 in., waitress, supposed native of New Zealand, slight build, fair hair and complexion, pale-blue eyes.

Hastings. —Between the 7th November, 1914, and the 7th April last, from a farm at Anaroa, the property of JESSE HERBERT, 360 Lincoln ewes, earmarked with a V-shaped bit out of back of left ear, in addition to which some may have other marks ; 255 Lincoln lambs similarly earmarked ; and 23 Lincoln rams, earmarked with a V-shaped hit out of tip and back of right ear : total value, £441. Identifiable.

Hastings.— Between the sth January last and the 6th ultimo, from a farm at Glencoe, the property of LACHLAN McLEAN, 200 two-, four-, and six-tooth Romney ewes, earmarked as follows —two-tooth, square bit out of tip and back of left ear ; four-tooth, square bit out of tip of left ear; sixtooth, square bit out of tip and two square bits out of front of left ear : and 200 Romney lambs, earmarked as follows — ewes, square bit out of tip and front of left ear; wethers, square bit out of tip and front of right ear : total value, £llO. Hastings. —Between the 26th November, 1914, and the 31st March last, from a farm at Argyle, the property of ALFRED GEORGE MONK, 400 Romney-lincoln cross ewes, earmarked with a square bit out of front and tip off left ear, in addition to which some may have a half-circle out of back of left ear; and 50 lambs, earmarked as follows—ewes, tip off and square bit out of front of left ear ; wethers, tip off and square bit out of front of right ear: total value, £2lO, Identifiable.

Marton. —On or about the 15oh instant, from W. K. PARaNIHI’S dwelling, a pair of blue-tweed'trousers with white stripes; a grey-tweed coat, “Hodson, Hunterville,” on tab; a pair of boots; and £3 in money: total value, £6. Identifiable except money. Suspicion is attached to John Cleave, age about twenty-one, height 5 ft. 8 in., labourer, supposed native of New Zealand, fair hair and complexion, blue eyes.

Wellington.— l6th instant, from 120 The Terrace, the property of OLGA JUHL, a lady’s gold ring, set with three diamonds and two sapphires ; a lady’s gold ring, set with five rubies ; two small gold neck-chains, one trace and one curb pattern ; a small plain gold cross; a gold bar brooch, set with five rubies in a row, near centre ; a gold bar brooch, tapering ends, diamond in centre ; a gold cross bar brooch, sapphire in centre ; and a small gold flower pendant, studded with pearls : total value, £ls. Wellington. —On the 18th instant a dwelling in Brougham Street was broken into, and the following articles stolen therefrom: A pair of pearl-and-gold screw earrings ; a gold bar brooch, set with an opal in the centre ; a gold chased bangle, broken in two places; a gold dumb-bell sleeve-link; a gentleman’s gold ring, “ A.P.R.” on front and “William King” inside; and £1 10s. in money; the property of ALFRED KING ; and four Bank of New South Wales £5 notes, three £1 notes, and Bs. 6d. in silver ; the property of WALTER KING: total value, £3O 18s. 6d. Suspicion is attached to a Man (name unknown), age about thirty-five, height 6 ft., medium build, dark hair and complexion, dark moustache. He was wearing a dark coat, grey trousers, light hat, and white apron, and was riding a bicyole.

Christchurch. —12th instant, from Tattersall’s saleyards, the property of CHARLES D. MATSON, a gentleman’s B.S.A. bicycle, No. 1660, free wheel, straight handles, black grips ; value, £3. Identifiable.
