Houhora.— 2oth December, 1914, on warrant for unlawfully supplying pills to one Isabella Prances Housham with intent to procure her miscarriage, George Modrich, age about twenty-seven, height about 6ft., gum-digger and boxing instructor, native of Dalmatia, strong athletic build, fresh complexion, fair or brown hair, grey eyes; usually dressed in a grey suit and soft-felt hat, and wears a gold watch-chain with a boxing-medal attached ; erect gait. Napier. —3rd instant, that he may be brought before the Court for sentence, Frederick Clark Murton, age twenty-six, height 5 ft. 9 in., labourer, native of England, medium build, fresh complexion, dark-brown hair, grey eyes, brown mole on left side of neck and on each upper arm. On the 15th February last offender was ordered to come up for sentence if called on for obtaining £lO from Nodman Toogood by false pretences. He was also ordered to make restitution, but has failed to do so.

Hastings. —26th February last, on warrant for forgery and uttering, H. Harding (name probably fictitious), age about twenty five, height about 5 ft. 9in., medium build. Accused forged the name of Albert J. Perry to a cheque for £l6 10s., drawn on the Bank of New Zealand, Hastings, and uttered it to John Clay, grocer.

Hastings. —4th instant, on warrant of commitment to Napier Prison for forty-eight hours in default of paying £1 ss. fine and costs for drunkenness, Reginald Rupert Campbell, age thirty-five, height 5 ft. 3Jin., drover, native of New Zealand, slim build, dark complexion, brown hair and eyes, left thumb-nail split; usually dressed in ridingpants and leggings, dark coat and vest, and grey-felt hat.

Taihape. —23rd March last, on warrant of commitment to Wanganui Prison for fourteen days in default of paying £5 3s. fine and costs for threatening behaviour, Francis Henry Ashton, alias Brown, alias Bennett, age twenty-nine, height 5 ft. 4fin., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, fair complexion, dark-brown hair, grey eyes, scar over left eyebrow and on left side of head. Palmerston North. —l(hh April last, on warrant for forgery and uttering, J. Williams (name probably fictitious), age about thirty, height about 5 ft. 7 in., labourer and drover, native of Australia, medium build, dark hair and oomplexion. Accused forged the name of J. Buchanan to a cheque for £l2 10s., drawn on the Bank of New South Wales, Stratford, and uttered it to William Dale, hotelkeeper.

Masterton. —3rd ultimo, on warrant for leaving New Zealand without the permission of a Magistrate while arrears were due on a maintenance order for the support of his mother, Garnet Wolseley King, age forty, height about 5 ft. 8 in., canvasser or agent, native of New Zealand, strong build, dark complexion and eyes. Accused left Auckland for Svdney on the 3rd ultimo. His arrest is not desired outside this Dominion.
