EXTRACT FROM NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE
(From Gazette, 1914, page 1964.) Change of the Official Name of a Government Industrial School. Education Department, Wellington, 6th May, 1914. WHEREAS it is desirable to change the official name of the Boys’ Industrial School, Stoke : Now, therefore, by virtue of the power vested in me by sections 4 and 14 of the Industrial Schools Act, 1908, I, James Allen, Minister of Education, do hereby notify that from and after this date the said Boys’ Industrial School, Stoke, is abolished, and is now established, and will in future be carried on as a Government Industrial School within the meaning of the said Act, under the official name of “ The Boys’ Training Farm, Nelson.” JAMES ALLEN.
