♦ England.— lnquiry is requested for Andrew Horne, age forty-two, height about 5 ft. 6 in., fair complexion, cook, native of England ; he was recently employed at the Strand Cafe, Molesworth Street, Wellington. Inquiry by the Undersecretary for Internal Affairs on behalf of his wife, Mrs. Mary Horne, 33 Bostock Street, Scotland Road, Liverpool, England. (P. 11/2115.)

Neuchatel (Switzerland). —Inquiry is requested for Ernest Louis Gamier, age forty-six, height 5 ft. 7 in. to 9 m., engineer, native of Prance, dark-chestnut hair parted in centre, very dark eyes, tanned complexion, thick lips ; well dressed ; he may be wearing a berrd ; and Jeanne Marie Pauline Gamier, his wife, age thirty-nine, height about 5 ft. 5 in., chestnut hair, sickly complexion, large mouth, false teeth, thin face, slender build, wears glasses. These two persons are wanted on warrant for swindling. If located, they are to be kept under surveillance and a telegraphic communication sent to the Commissioner of Police, Wellington. Johannesburg (Transvaal, South Africa). —14th February last, on warrant for embezzling the sum of £1,700-odd, Alfred Adler, age about thirty-three, height about 5 ft. 4 in., solicitor, an English Jew, slender build, sallow complexion, drawn features, brown hair and eyes, cleanshaven, weight about 1401 b., speaks rapidly. If looated he is to be kept under surveillance and a telegraphic communication sent to the Commissioner of Police, Wellington, in whose office a process-block photograph of accused is filed. Sydney (New South Wales). — Warrants have been issued by the Central Police Bench, Sydney, for the arrest of John Janies Ryan, charged with on the 3rd and 6th March, 1914, or thereabouts, at Sydney, being then a person subject to the provisions of the (Commonwealth) Audit Act, 1901-1906, to wit, a postal assistant, did make use of certain public moneys, to wit, the sums of £2 6s. and £lO 15s. respectively, otherwise than is provided by the said Act or regulations. Offender is twenty-five years of age, 5 ft. 7 in. high, medium build, dark hair and complexion, clean-shaven, good appearance ; when last seen was dressed in a blue suit and felt hat. May seek employment as a wireless operator. Supposed to have come to New Zealand. Complainant, William Sutherland Gowen, Postal Detective.
